Welcome Earthitarian

The word Earthitarian is meant to acknowledge and honor all living beings on Earth as unique, free and sovereign expressions of the One Divine Consciousness. We are all important, we all have value and purpose, we are all individual parts of a magnificent interconnected whole.

The website earthitarian.org is under construction. Please see the introduction below and check back soon to view the new site.

The Beginning

In June 2011 we created this song-video and the following commentary for a film contest. The theme was to imagine possible futures for life on Earth. Twelve years have passed and I still imagine a world of peace and harmony where we honor unity, diversity and the interconnectedness of life. ~ Susan

Lyrics

"I am an Earthitarian"

I'm traveling on a planet

Floating around a sun

With many other beings

Who call this planet home

We are different yet the same

We are Earthitarians

Crystal waters & blue skies

Fresh air & green grass

Paradise everywhere

Freedom & respect for all

A Divine plan

I see it now

I am an Earthitarian

I'm living on a planet

Where diversity abounds

I wake up and see it

We are all one

One Earth One Life

I see it now

I am an Earthitarian

I'm free cause I see life

All as one

I'm free cause I feel life

All as one

One Earth One Life

I see it now

I am an Earthitarian

Human consciousness is quickly evolving…we are awakening to the reality that we are one life on one planet. In viewing Earth as a shared planet and all life forms as citizens of Earth we free our minds from separation, a necessary step to create global peace and sustainability. Earthitarian is a word that encompasses all citizens of the planet from tiny beings like the honey bee to colossal beings like the whale, but human Earthitarians have the ability to contemplate the oneness of life and consciously create peace and sustainability.

Earth is one living ecosystem with a multitude of smaller ecosystems living upon it. Most all Earthitarians but humans live naturally in harmony with their environment. They don’t need to choose to be in harmony with their environment, they just are. Humanity is now facing the reality that our survival depends upon our making a conscious choice to live in harmony with Earth and our fellow Earthitarians.

All individual parts of the whole are important and have value and purpose.

As citizens of Earth one of our most important responsibilities is to educate ourselves in planetary sustainability. To demand respect for Earth and all life upon it. To live our life in a way that reflects our understanding that Earth is our home…we have nowhere else to go.

To create sustainability and peace humans must embrace the concepts that…

…everything is a part of an interconnected whole

.…Earth is home for many beings not just human beings

.…all life has the right to exist and flourish on planet Earth

.…all life forms are Earthitarians and citizens of Earth

.…the way we choose to live affects the life around us

.…the way we choose to feed, shelter and clothe ourselves has a global impact

.…human survival depends upon the survival of other Earthitarians and the planet.

Living as a conscious Earthitarian is about…

…making choices for the good of all life

.…questioning every choice we make

.…learning new ways to live that are sustainable and just

.…creating and supporting sustainable community

.…honoring and preserving diversity.

As citizens of Earth all Earthitarians have birthrights.

Some of them are…

…the right to live a peaceful life

.…the right to live and die in dignity

.…the right to clean air, food and water.

For all Earthitarians to experience these rights some changes must take place, and it begins with us as individuals. When we make positive changes in our individual life, it has a positive effect on the whole. This is the secret to humanity's healing and restoring and preserving this beautiful planet we call home.

Creating a new reality requires attention to our thoughts and how we perceive ourselves and other life around us.

To view ourselves and others as Earthitarians is a tool to help us see our interconnectedness.

"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."
